In August 2023, the world watched in heartbreak as wildfires swept through Maui, leaving thousands of our neighbors without a place to call home. While the news cycles have moved on, the rebuilding process for many families is just beginning. This year, I’ve committed to joining Habitat for Humanity on the ground in Maui to help turn the tide from recovery to rebuilding.
Why This Matters to Me
I’ve always been a firm believer that a safe, stable home is the foundation for everything else in life—health, education, and peace of mind. I’m passionate about Habitat’s mission because I love seeing the direct impact of helping families gain access to affordable housing. There is something incredibly powerful about handing over a set of keys to a first-time homeowner, and I want to help bring that moment to the families in Hawaii who lost everything.
